Many years ago, I started teaching close friends in my garage. Interest exploded! Fast forward to today and Paragon RGV is one of the premier Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu schools in the area.

We solve this problem by engaging in tough workouts as a team. We motivate and support each other to accomplish things that would not be possible by ourselves.
  4. If your goal is to compete at a high-level in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, we got you covered. With 10 scheduled training sessions per week, you can get all the training and mat time you need to be successful.

  • How to escape a front choke (guillotine). This is a common submission and is also a common choke used in the streets.
  • How to escape when your opponent is MOUNTED on top of you.
  • How to BREAK OPEN the guard, pass, and achieve a dominant position on your opponent.
  • How to avoid the common mistakes most grapplers make in their training career.
  • A tough grueling group workout that will make you go home HAPPY because you did not know you could push yourself to endure the “work” in “workout”.
  • A group of new friends and training partners ready to help you.
  • You will learn all the basic positions of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: the mount, the back, half-guard, closed-guard, side-control, and open-guard.
  • You will learn at least 3 different arm-locks that you can use in 3 different positions.
